Your health club provides support to your family so you can accomplish your health and fitness goals. The programming and amenities at the club allow you to spend time together (or apart under one roof), while still staying active through sports, recreational activity, or fitness training. Here are just a few ways you can stay active as a family at your health club.
With a basketball court at each of its four locations, Elite Sports Clubs is a great place to get the family together and shoot hoops. Whether it’s simply shooting around or working on your crossover dribbling, basketball is a very fun way of staying active together.
Tennis is the sport of a lifetime and can be learned at any age. Whether you have some experienced players in the family or everyone is a beginner, you can all pick up a racquet and start playing together. Book a court as a family (free during the summer months) or take a tennis class together!
Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, table tennis, and badminton. The court is an abbreviation of a tennis court and net, and the game itself combines rules from a variety of racquet sports. It can be played as singles or doubles, but more commonly played as doubles, thus making it a fun family activity.
The Splash Clubs at Elite have both indoor and outdoor saltwater pools, which allow for year-round pool activities. The outdoor pools feature comfortable furniture, wading pools for the little ones (except for River Glen), brand new playgrounds, and large open swim areas. Our indoor pool facilities have both a large lap lane pool as well as a smaller warm water pool, which can be more suitable for young splashers and pool games with the parents.
While fitness training might not be a “togetherness” activity, we commonly see families come to the club together and the kids go off to play while the parents work out in the fitness center. This is the perfect example of a health club supporting your family’s health goals, granting activities for the kids to do while the parents can get their work out in on their own terms. When the kids get into their teens, they might take more of an interest in weight lifting or cardiovascular training and join the rest of the family in the fitness center.
Family Fun Nights
Family Fun Nights at Elite are essentially a combination of many activities listed above. These special events are designated times where families can spend time together doing a variety of activities, such as tennis, swimming, or playing in the Quad or on the basketball court.
