Reiki

Reiki is a form of alternative medicine that is healing technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the patient’s body and restore physical and emotional well-being.

A traditional Reiki treatment is offered in a quiet setting (usually in a therapy room) while you are sitting or lying down, fully clothed. A trained Reiki Practitioner uses a gentle touch on or just above the body to help guide the flow of energy. This energy flow or connection enhances the body’s ability to heal itself.

Red Light Therapy

A safe, all natural process that encourages your body to naturally produce enzymes, elastin fibers, and collagen that support the skin’s structure. Thus producing younger, smoother and firmer feeling skin. Infrared Light Technology has been extensively researched and used by NASA, Mayo Clinic, National Institutes of Health, US Military, and many more worldwide, It has been found to be effective at repairing damaged skin, treating depression, relieving pain, treating wounds and much more.

“I have faithfully been using the ‘Red Bed’ for the last four months. I love it and am very disappointed when I am not able to use it. I have incorporated into my workout schedule. After each workout, I use the red bed to relax my muscles and cool down. The 20 minutes of ‘me time’ is an added bonus! I spent many summers outside watching softball and baseball games and have sun damaged skin. It appears like the brown age spots on my hands are starting to diminish. I am starting to see small changes in my complexion. My daughter commented on how my skin is looking smoother and softer! Yeah! I told her that soon people will think I am her sister and not her mother!! I wish my schedule allowed more time to work out and use the red bed.” – Robin deWerff

Benefits:

Initial Results (First 4 Weeks):

Initially, you’ll notice fine lines start to diminish, your skin will have a much smoother feeling to it, pigmentation will start to even out, and any blemishes or acne will start diminishing.

Long-Term Results (4-12 Weeks):

Over time, improved oxygenation and detoxification of the skin is achieved as the vascular walls of the skin’s small blood vessels are strengthened, followed by improved natural repair and creation of healthy skin. This will help restore and firm up tired looking skin, decrease fine lines, wrinkles, stretch marks, diminish freckles, age spots, eliminate acne, even out pigmentation, minimize the size of facial pores, improve the appearance of sun-weathered skin, and stimulate collagen synthesis. Overall improving the skin’s underlying supportive structure and making you look and feel years younger!

Other Complimentary Spa Amenities

Steam Room

Detox and rejuvenate your body in one of our steam rooms conveniently located in each of our changing rooms.

Regular use of a steam room can improve not only your health but also your appearance. Nothing is better for your skin than a heavy sweat. Heavy sweating cleanses your skin more thoroughly than soap and water because it opens your pores and allows deep-seated grime and dead cells to be flushed out. This is one reason steam baths can be helpful for acne treatment and some other skin conditions. The heat of a steam room also causes an increase in blood circulation, bringing more oxygen and nutrients to your skin surface. Over time, this can help contribute to a healthy, glowing appearance.

Sauna

We are proud to offer clean and relaxing dry cedar saunas at Elite Sports Clubs. Saunas leave your body soothed and your mind serene. However, it’s main advantage lies in the fact that it promotes sweating, helping the body to rid itself of toxins.

The skin is a major eliminative organ. Due to our modern lifestyle, many of us don’t sweat, especially during the winter months. Modern synthetic fibers or tight clothing that doesn’t allow the skin to breathe can damage our skin and our natural ability for elimination, as does excessive prolonged sun exposure. A sedentary lifestyle also inactivates the skin.

Our skin is exposed to hundreds of chemicals during the course of our life and is affected by them. From innocent bath products such as shampoos, shower gels, lotions and soaps to deodorants. Household cleaning solvents, detergent residues on clothes and chemicals from the bath or shower water also affect the skin.

Regular use of the sauna gradually restores the skin’s elimination ability. Sweating removes toxic chemicals and metals faster than other detox methods. It is also believed that exposure of the skin to heat stimulates the production of white blood cells and strengthens the immune system.

Whirlpool

Sit back and soak in the tranquility of Elite whirlpools. Let the jets massage your woes away. Hydrotherapy, or warm water therapy in whirlpools, consists of three main healing ingredients; heat, buoyancy, and massage. Together, they create an experience that is both relaxing and healthy.

Whirlpool hydrotherapy on a regular basis provides physical health benefits that go much deeper than just relaxation and pleasure. Water is so pure and simple, yet it can do the most amazing things. Whether you are experiencing joint or muscle pain, having trouble sleeping, or are just plain stressed out, spending time in a whirlpool can provide therapeutic benefits for just about everyone.

Warm Water Therapy Pool

Our Brookfield, Mequon and River Glen locations also offer large warm water therapy pools with saltwater filtration systems. These pools do not get as hot as a typical whirlpool and can be used for anything from low-impact water walking, to physical therapy and rehabilitation.
