Member Stories - Andy Littaritz

We’re extremely proud of our members. Over the years their work out agendas and sporting endeavors serve as healthy examples of how it feels to be “Elite,” and how exercise not only adds years to your life, but life to your years! Today we’d like to highlight another member’s experience:

My name is Andy Littaritz, and myself along with my wife Julie and two children (Kai & Kayley) have been Passport Members at Elite for four years.

Personally I joined Elite to utilize their facilities to rehab my knee from a transplant surgery I had in 2010. Being that the surgery I had was the 11th time my knee was operated on, and this operation had a two year recovery time frame I was looking for a place that had the weight room, pool, basketball and tennis courts, as I am a case study for this procedure and it allowed for myself and the doctors to see if I could not only run again, but play tennis, racquetball, etc. I am happy to say that I have been able to progress to do all those things and the club facilities have been a big part of that success.

Having young kids at the time we also thought it would be great for them to take advantage of all the facilities/programs and allowed my wife and myself to utilize the childcare so we could workout and play tennis together.

Fast forward to 2014 and the Elite Clubs have been a huge part of not only my successful recovery, but has been more than I could have hoped for, for my entire family.

In the past we did the kids camp (SCAMP), quickstart tennis, swim lessons, and adult tennis lessons. From there we have been able to move onto one-one tennis with Jeff who does a great job, and one-one boxing lessons from Tough Guy Trainer, Rob. We have also tried water therapy with Ryan, and enjoy offerings such as paddle tennis and open basketball. My wife has even enjoyed the book club.

The entire staff from the check in crew, membership ladies (Christy/Molly) along with Seth, Dory and the crew in fitness make it a very enjoyable and friendly place to belong. I came into the club looking at it as a place where I could do rehab and now you will find myself and my family there several times a week enjoying several of the facilities/programs that the Elite Clubs offer.
