Teen Nutrition and Training: Fitness Orientation for Youth

Teen Nutrition and Training - Fitness Orientation for Youth

At Elite, we want everyone in the fitness center to have a solid understanding of how to use the strength and cardio equipment, including youth members. In order to instruct our younger members just starting out in fitness, we offer a program called Teen Nutrition and Training. Learn more about what TNT is and how you can enroll your child!

Teen Nutrition and Training Overview

Teen Nutrition and Training, or TNT for short, is a FREE 3-session course required for children 10-14 years old who wish to use our fitness centers. Each of the sessions covers different topics related to training and nutrition and follows a weekly rotation. The order of the sessions is not important, so your teen can join at any point in the month. However, they will need to attend three consecutive weeks to learn all the information there is to cover. Upon completion of TNT, graduates can work out in the fitness center.

What TNT Will Teach Your Kids

This comprehensive program will teach young members safety & fitness center etiquette, exercise routines, healthy eating, proper use of weights, bands, medicine balls, cardiovascular equipment, and more.

They’ll learn best practices related to:

  • Weight Room Etiquette
  • Safety
  • Warm-Ups
  • Machines
  • Free Weights
  • Bodyweight Exercises
  • Nutrition Basics

Teen Nutrition and Training Classes

Elite offers group sessions on set recurring days and times each week that is included with membership. Otherwise, families may sign up for individual sessions, totaling three, one-hour appointments with a fitness specialist for an additional fee. Choose the day that works best for your family and email [email protected] to reserve a spot. If your child can’t attend three consecutive weeks, ask a trainer when the next makeup session will be.

If your child is ready to continue their training experience or gain a competitive edge in sports, they can move on to our Athletic Movement & Performance (AMP) training program. More information on TNT and AMP can be found at: eliteclubs.com/youth/youth-fitness
