Playroom Time at Elite is Great for Your Kids and You!

Playroom Time at Elite is Great for Your Kids and You!

For those of you who are parents, you have most likely used the playroom at Elite at least one time or another while you grab a quick workout or play with your tennis league. As a mother of 2 kids, I was thrilled to discover that Elite offers FREE childcare while at the club as well as a drop-off service that charges less than you would pay a sitter. What I didn’t know at the time I joined Elite was that the playroom service would become such an integral part of my children’s lives and would help me out more than I ever imagined.

The playroom at Elite made me healthier, and smarter!

When I first began dropping my daughter off at the playroom, my goal was to have a few minutes to myself, catch a spin class and maybe grab a shower. But leaving Samantha in Elite’s care also allowed me time to study for my Masters Degree. Thanks to the playroom staff, I was able to have a few hours each day to review for exams, write papers and finish projects during daylight hours. Knowing that Samantha was making friends and learning while I was studying gave me peace of mind and saved me endless amounts of time and many sleepless nights!

I lost 30lbs and my kids gained amazing friends.

It goes without saying that it’s much easier to fit in a workout when a toddler isn’t grabbing your leg and screaming in your face. Thanks to the childcare at Elite, I have been able to try out everything from spin to a fitness-focused swim class and as a result, I dropped all but 2lbs. of my baby weight. After six years as a mother, I am just beginning to once again feel comfortable in my own skin. It’s been a long journey, one that would not have been realized had I not had a place where I could focus solely on my health.

Meanwhile my kids have gained friends that they will have far after they outgrow the playroom. Samantha met one of her best friends at Elite-River Glen when she was only an infant and this year, they are in the same 1st grade class! In addition, my 2 year old’s first friend at Elite-North Shore turned out to live down the street from us!

We’re a community. We’re all in the same boat.

It’s been so fun to see how the kids’ lives at Elite have integrated into our lives outside of the club. They talk about the Elite kids parties with their friends at school, we run into them at the grocery store and sometimes it’s just as simple as sharing a quick “Yeah, me too” glance as we drop off our kids from a fellow mother who has also been up all night with a teething baby.

Whether you need to cram for test, prepare for a meeting, or simply grab a shower, Elite understands our busy lives and they also understand that a parent’s peace of mind, especially when it comes to the well-being of our children, is priceless.

We’d love to hear from you! What are some ways the playrooms at Elite have helped you or your kids?
