Meet Scott Eigenberg:
1. What position(s) do you currently hold at Elite and any you have held in the past?
Member Service Representative, Night Manager, and Programming including Basketball and Table Tennis.
2. How long have you been working in the fitness/tennis industry and how long have you worked at Elite?
I’ve been in the Fitness Industry since Middle School where I started working in day camps at the JCC in Kansas City. In college I worked just about every position at the rec center. After college I worked part time as a lifeguard and then as an aquatics coordinator. When I moved to Milwaukee I started working at several gyms in many different capacities including fitness and sales. I have now worked at Elite for over 2 years.
3. What made you want to start working in this industry and/or for Elite?
I started working in this industry for the fun fast-paced environment and non-traditional hours.
4. What is your favorite part about your job?
My favorite part about my job is running the basketball leagues and integrating new members into the club.
5. What activities do you participate in at the club or outside of the club that are health/fitness/tennis related?
I love playing basketball both in and outside the club and try to run every now and then as well.
6. What has been your biggest personal struggle with health/fitness/tennis?
My biggest struggle is recruiting new members that would be a great fit here. I love this club and I am constantly looking for new ways to introduce the club to new people as, believe it or not, not everyone knows we are here.
7. What has been your biggest personal accomplishment with health/fitness/tennis?
My biggest personal accomplishment was becoming the number one membership sales person at the WAC.
8. What advice do you give people who are coming to the club for the first time?
My biggest advice for first timers is find something you enjoy so that it won’t be a chore you do but a relief that you look forward to.
9. What advice do you give people who are struggling to make health/fitness/tennis a priority or are getting bored/burned out?
See above…plus if you are serious about getting results, find ways to hold yourself accountable so you will do what you promised yourself when you may not feel like doing it.
10. What personal advice do you give someone who is looking to get to a healthier point in their life in general?
Start small and gradually integrate lifestyle changes that you can maintain. Lifestyle creation will stand the test of time when willpower fails.
