- What position(s) do you currently hold at Elite and any you have held in the past?
I’m currently a registered dietitian at all the clubs and yoga instructor at Elite-River Glen.
- How long have you been working in the health/fitness/tennis industry and how long have you worked at Elite?
I started working in the industry in 2018 and joined Elite in 2026.
- What made you want to start working in this industry and/or for Elite?
My passion for nutrition all started back when I went to UWM about 12 years ago. I took a class called Food & Beverage 101 as a general requirement, and that changed my understanding of food, for the better. The class focused on agricultural systems in the USA, which really opened my eyes to how the industry works and what makes a nutrient-dense food. After this, I went down a rabbit hole of fad diets trying to achieve optimal wellness.
With wellness also comes fitness. I’ve been active since I was a child, but I didn’t really get into mindful movements until I started practicing yoga in 2017. The concept of listening to your body, flowing breath to movement, was really mind blowing for me. I fell in love with yoga when I took my first Yin class because of how calm I felt after. I decided to obtain my 200hr YTT in 2019 from Rishikesh, India, the birthplace of yoga.
I started working at a gym in the Milwaukee area in 2018; administrative work, yoga instructing, and I ended this job interning as a nutritionist. We were launching a new nutrition program for the gym until COVID-19 hit. While I was interning, my colleague had suggested I become a dietitian. I didn’t know what a dietitian did at the time however, thought this would be the perfect job for me because of my love for science and passion for health and wellness.
During COVID I got serious about becoming a dietitian, since I had lost my job because gyms weren’t essential. I stumbled across a program at Mount Mary University and decided to enroll. Five years later, I obtained my Master’s degree in Nutrition & Dietetics, and a year after that (plus a beautiful baby girl) I became a Registered Dietitian.
- What is your favorite part about your job?
My favorite part about being a dietitian is having the knowledge and resources to figure out what is a nutrition fact versus what is trendy. These days, the nutrition world is full of supplements, fad diets, and other noise. Optimal nutrition isn’t as hard to achieve as it seems, and I love being able to help others reach their goal.
- What activities do you participate in at the club or outside of the club that are health/fitness/tennis related?
I am an active person! I love to bike, rock climb, run, Irish Dance, practice yoga, cartwheel, dance, swim, blow bubbles, and play in the park with my baby girl!

- What has been your biggest personal struggle with health/fitness/tennis?
Consistency. Even though I do a lot, being consistent is hard in the real world. We have so many things to do during a day, whether it’s work, cooking dinner, raising our children, going to school, taking care of loved ones, finding time to do hobbies we love… Personally, fitness has been put on the back burner for me multiple times in my life. Giving myself grace and allowing myself to do the thing I want to do with my time without force has helped me to enjoy life without shame.
- What has been your biggest personal accomplishment with health/fitness/tennis?
My most recent personal accomplishment, and I wasn’t even trying, is I got back down to my pre-pregnancy weight within a year of my daughter being born. Many people told me I wouldn’t be able to go back, but here I am!
I lead by example. I want my daughter to experience what it is like to live a healthy lifestyle. She watches me make healthy food for dinner, she goes to the rock wall with me, I take her on bike rides, and I carry her almost everywhere I go! I do all the things I used to do before her, but now with her.
- What advice do you give people who are coming to the club for the first time?
The hardest part is getting to the club. Once you are at the club, you might as well put in the work, right!? Make the goal to walk through the club doors with no expectations. Walk in and see where the gym takes you!
- What advice do you give people who are struggling to make health/fitness/tennis a priority or are getting bored/burned out?
Try something new! Fitness should be fun, not boring. If you are bored or burned out, you will likely not show up. You need to find movement that you enjoy doing to keep coming back! Find something you get excited about that makes you show up daily!
- What personal advice do you give someone who is looking to get to a healthier point in their life in general?
Putting in the energy to create healthy habits is an act of self-love. You deserve to live in a healthier body. Think, “I am doing this for me.” To keep you showing up, ask yourself, “WHY do I want to do this for me?” Your answer will be very impactful and will likely fuel your motivation to keep showing up.
