5 Reasons You Should Send Your Child to Summer Camp

When school’s out, you’re faced with the daily predicament, “What are my kids going to do today?” If they need something more constructive to do than play video games or drive you crazy around the house, Milwaukee summer camp is where they can be active, spend time with their friends, and most importantly have tons of fun every single day! Here are 5 reasons you should send your child to summer camp!

1. Endless Fun Activities

Kids will be kids, and that sometimes means they have lots of energy to use up. Otherwise they can get into mischief (or drive you crazy). If that sounds like your child, summer camp is the perfect place for them to be! Summer camp is filled with a wide variety of activities. Games, sports, and swimming are just a few ways the kids get to use up their energy and spend time with their camp friends. The activities change every day to keep everything fresh and exciting. Our goal is to keep them active and engaged by providing something more constructive than video games or staring at their screens all day.

2. Learning & Creative Expression

Summer camp isn’t a classroom setting, but there is always learning involved. As a health club, we try to incorporate healthy learning into our summer camp activities, but make it fun! Learning could include anything from healthy nutrition, tennis lessons, swim lessons, music class, or even a visit from our local fire department to talk about safety.

Another important aspect of summer camp is allowing the kids to express themselves creatively. Your kids will have numerous opportunities to complete craft projects, make silly videos, and participate in our weekly themed dress-up days.

3. An Opportunity to Make New Friends

Summer camp is a very social experience. They will regularly participate in group activities, some with the entirety of camp and others with smaller groups. The kids are grouped with their peers. Even if they don’t know anyone in camp, they’ll be with familiar faces every day so it’s easier to make new friends.

4. Give Yourself a Break

It could potentially be a long summer with the kids running around the house, especially if you’re working from home. You don’t want background noise on your video calls or constant interruptions when you’re trying to get stuff done. With the kids in camp, you’ll have the peace of mind they’re having fun in a constructive environment, and you can relax or get your work done.

5. No Need for Childcare

If your kids are too young to be at home alone, you won’t need a sitter if your kids are at summer camp! Elite Sports Clubs welcomes kids as young as 3 years old for sports, games, fitness, and of course fun! Our clubs offer a summer day camp for school-aged kids, or “Petite Elite SCAMP” & “Mini SCAMP,” which are half-day camps for pre-school aged kids.
