Many people feel as though they are often “driven” to eat certain foods or are responding to certain body needs or cravings. Sometimes it may be due to having a craving for something your body is lacking nutritionally. Many people will mention that they begin to think about a specific food, like potato chips, and just don’t feel relieved until they have some! Is that bag of chips calling out to you? So, what is going on?!
It was seventeen years ago when the staff at Elite Sports Club – North Shore first met Jim Horvath. He is a native to Milwaukee and now lives in Glendale. Over the years, most of the Fitness staff and the Front Desk staff have gotten to know “Jim”. He is friendly and open to discussion. You can tell that he is intellectual and contemplative as he often engages conversations in the lobby and coming and going to his favorite place, the fitness department.
Everyone likes when they’re told what they want to hear; things stay nice and comforting that way. I do admit that I like this product and will recommend it to you as a meal replacement and post-workout beverage. (more…)
The internet is bursting with fitness advice. If you search “fitness advice” in Google, it will come up with some 190,000,000 results (no, we didn’t add any extra zeros there). That’s a lot of advice! Some of it is free information, and some of it you have to pay for. Some of it is legit advice, and some of it is bogus. It’s amazing to have such an abundance of information right at our fingertips, but how do you know what to trust? That’s a tricky question. One that we hope to help you address.
It’s that time of year again! Tennis leagues will be starting up soon here at Elite Sports Clubs, so we wanted to take this opportunity to review some guidelines to help you better navigate this new “Flex” league format. (more…)
Today, modern cooks are able to get away from the calories from rich sauces and gravies by using more of a plant-based herb, vegetable, and nut sauces with much less fat, salt, and sugars. This particular green sauce is very good for flavoring meats, vegetables, and salads for a real pick-me-up for recipes.
Elite Sports Clubs is now offering music classes at our Brookfield & River Glen locations through Mozart’s Gym: an on-site music school where there are many different teachers of many different instruments.
