Rita Larsen has 6 years of education on dietary matters with a B.S. degree from Kansas State University and a dietetic internship from Indiana University Medical Center. HELP- Healthy Eating for Life Program (youth program)

This program was designed to bring assistance to dietary problems common place with our youth today. The advantage of Club activities, sports education, and good dietary planning can mean overall success for any young family who wants to strive for an optimum healthy lifestyle. Long-term, children and young adults can begin early practice at methods that will enhance their lives and assist in disease prevention. Several programs and techniques have been developed to aid in the process of aiding the training process, both for diet and exercise.


 

Health and Nutrition Tip

Incorporate fruits, vegetables, whole grains and fat-free or low-fat milk products into your meals for a healthy diet. It can be as easy as substituting white rice with brown rice or adding sliced fruit to your cereal. Get your kids involved by allowing them to select and, when old enough, prepare healthy foods for school lunches and meals at home.
